the alien about the best of humanity

A few days ago, there was a discussion on Making Light about our favorite superheroes. I posted out that, while the Dark Knight may be edgier, I've always prefered the Last Son of Krypton. The latter suffered even greater losses, repeatedly, and yet he clings to the best of human nature, even though he is an alien.
