The other day, over at Making Light, people were discussing the virtues and sins of CGI-based FX. Relying on them instead of remembering that the story comes first is a pitfall that many fell into long before CGI existed. Also, CGI makes it possible for us to tell the stories we want to tell, without any limit (other than financial ones) to our imagination.

Just don't forget to tell the best story you can tell.
