Maybe someone here can answer a question that came up this weekend at that pre-Halloween party when I mentionned to other fans that 'Neo-Victorian' would have been a more accurate name for what we call 'steampunk'.

When did the Victorian Era get its name?

I seriously doubt that the French, especially Jules Verne, called it that while it was going on.

Dear Engineer's Log, today I:
- got that 68-inch-wide kelley-green umbrella.
- did not sleep much because of problems in the Engine Room.
- was prevented by work from saying goodbye to Cosmos when his mom picked him up.
- was instrumental in the birth of the Bustlepunk Manifesto.
- told my boss that his predecessor was a misleading, lying person who could not be trusted to be fair.
