a car chaser, and later some light gathered in Oakland

Tonight in Oakland, I met with a few people I usually talk to over at Making Light. Most of them I had already encountered in the real world. The exception was siriosa. I apparently exude such respectability (and - dare I say it?) maturity that it must be why she thought I was older than I legaly am. It was good to see her, Lenny Bailes too, Kathryn & Brad, and D Potter who, I realized as Lenny & I walked her past the rat, is actually taller than me.

Earlier today, I was witness to a only-in-the-Bay-Area scene... A car being chased by a dog on a scooter. All right, all right... The dog wasn't driving the scooter, but he/she seemed to be urging its human chauffeur to go faster after that car that had passed them.
