something unnatural
Feb. 10th, 2011 07:15 amYesterday evening I did something unnatural. No, this has nothing to do with sexual practices. Against my nature, but at the same time following the advice given by my team lead back in October, I made myself unreachable by my co-workers and higherups. Why? Why not?
After dinner, my wife and I watched 2009's "Max Manus", about one of the heroes of the Norwegian Resistance during WW2. It's amazing how little people here know about that aspect of the War, and that may be part of my problem with the film: being a Norwegian film about Norway, it assumed that its audience already had some knowledge about that period of History. It was an interesting movie, but its episodic nature as it covered the whole War left me without any real way to connect the pieces. It really is my fault and that of my ignorance.
When the film was over, I resumed reading Melinda Snodgrass's fantasy novel "The Edge of Ruin".
