We had a good meal at Outback last night, even though we had to wait one hour to get a table. By then I was feeling faint after the day's pronounced lack of nourishment. We then went to Barnes & Noble, where I bought the BluRays of "Forbidden Planet" and "20 Million Miles to Earth". After we came home, we sat on the patio, and I fell asleep in my chair, unsurprisingly. We eventually went to bed. I'm up now. Time to water the lawn. Then mow the flowers. Or is it the other way around?

Today I dealt with things that grow, and some that don't grow anymore. There's a tree/bush/thing on the side of our garage that the winter pretty much killed so I sawed off the dead limbs and carted them off to the dump. I also watered the flowerbeds in the backyard and noticed weeds growing in there. I'd have dealt with them today, but by then the sun was starting to beat down on the land so I decided it'd be wise to do this early tomorrow. I also noticed something wonderful - a new Bird of Paradise growing between the rocks of a wall I built a few years ago. I know, I know... The Birds are like weeds, but I like them. Most of them didn't make it thru the winter so I cut them down to a stump, and they've recovered very well. This one came up on its own and should enhance my landscaping work. Besides, it's pretty.
