sergebroom: (Beast at the Gate)
Last night's first cup of coffee almost turned out to be very expensive,

I had put my CoffeePress down on the table near my end of the couch. I had to step away from some errands. Later, as I was sititng down to read the manuscript of my wife's fantasy novel, I noticed something wrong. My CoffeePress wasn't sitting up on the end table anymore. It was on its side, and its contents had spilled all over the table's glass top, on which my laptop was also resting. The only reason the latter didn't turn into an expensive paperweight is that there was a catalog under it, which soaked most of the spill in that corner of the table. As for the rest of the coffee, some had dripped down toward the floor. It didn't reach the floor though because under the table is a wireless printer. I managed to mop most of the liquid, and let the printer dry overnight. It works although printouts show some streaks in places. The computer-repair place's guy took a quick look and said that the streaks should eventually go away.

As for how this all started, I suspect BadCat Rocky's once again chasing Agatha the Cat Genius.
