another day off

I'm taking another day off. Got to use my last 2011 vacation days before the end of the month after all. Coffee will be had. Words will be read. Errands will be run. Some housecleaning will be done. More coffee will be had. More words will be read. Yay!

the burden of being a babe magnet

Last night, Celeste, deciding that I'm hot stuff, sat on my lap. Before that, Roxie had thrown herself at me. Mind you, Celeste is a hairless cat and Roxie is a 16-week-old Bull Terrier. I'm amazed that my glasses survived connecting with the latter's pointy nose, which was backed by a very solid body.
