My yearly review's bonus came thru and it's a nice amount. On the other hand, I got no raise, which, combined with our new (and more expensive) health plan, results in an actual decrease of income. On the other *other* hand, I got that bonus.

I watched 1969's "The Illustrated Man" tonight. It could have used some tightening, what with the Bradbury collection's original framing device now taking up more screen time than the combined length of the stories that made it into the movie. But I still liked it, decades after last seeing it and, no, it's not just because of Claire Bloom. It also starred Rod Steiger in a role that will not surprise you, and featured a nice score by Jerry Goldsmith.
