So said my wife this morning, for the first time in our 27 years of matrimony. She later made a reference to cavemen. I'd have prefered a comparison to Patrick McGoohan's beetle brows.

Tonight we watched Mark Morris's unusual take on "The Nutcracker". Christmas music is now playing while Sue is dozing and yours truly reading. Speaking of Christmas and books, our mailbox today contained Alibris's 1972 reprint of Clarke's "The Wind from the Sun".
