"Legends"

I watched the first episode of "Legends" last night. Most of it seemed run-of-the-mill stuff, but it had a twist that will keep me watching. Besides, it's got Sean Bean. And the computer whizz-kid is played by Tina Majorino.

"Ellie's Friends"

Part One of "Ellie's Friends" in Kurt Busiek's "Astro City" was excellent. It's about an old woman whose mission in life has been to rescue and nurse back to health the various robots trashed over the years by the City's heroes and abandonned by their villain owners. Then her nephew gets into the picture.
