When you find something that you think someone else will like and the other person thanks you even though it's obvious that you were wrong, but he/she wants to spare your feelings, that's embarrassing. Not as embarrassing though as when the other person not only doesn't pretend, but he/she tells why you were wrong. It's safer then to just stop ever interacting with that person.
