“the phantom menace”

“The Phantom Menace”… I feel pretty much the way I did 25 years ago. I’m glad it brought joy to others. As for myself, I still HATE the comedic relief of Jar Jar. If might have been bearable if it hadn’t gone on and on and on. And there are quite a few other places where things went on and on and on, like the car race on Tatooine, and the three-way duel with Darth Maul. Anything else? The kid’s acting was atrocious. but I wonder if George Lucas was to blame for this because, based on this movie, you’d hardly believe that Natalie Portman can act. Oh, and right from the beginning of the movie, Lucas showed he couldn’t be bothered to be consistent with the earlier movies. Oh well… I will watch “Attack of the Clones”, but I can see why I took 22 years to do so.
