why go back?

I had been toying with the idea of refreshing my COBOL skills with the goal of doing contract work, but… It’s been over 15 years since I actually wrote a COBOL program and that wouldn’t look awesome even though it had been such a long time because my coding never broke. Mainly though, do I really want to get back in a work environment that’s now even more cutthroat and stressful? I like retirement so I’ll probably stick with that. Besides, there’s no reason why I can’t refresh my COBOL knowledge just for the fun of it.
