"At last I am free of this undead curse."

That's the first thing I heard this morning when I switched from some cheesy musketeer movie on Turner Classic Movies, to the Skiffy Channel's Dungeons & Dragons 2.

The what? Oh, you mean the movie Mazes and Monsters circa 1986, which warned us of the perils of getting sucked into role-playing games? No, this is an actual D&D movie, with a dragon who looks rather moth-eaten, and a dungeon, and the usual assortment of RPG characters. I rather liked the dark-haired elfin lady. The rest? Not so much.

I see. I hadn't heard of it. I have seen the Tom Hanks film, and wish I hadn't.

I saw only part of it, just enough to make me think 'dull' then I moved on to something else. Did it claim it'd lead the players into the realm of Satanic worship? Or just that the players could become obsessed? (Like they didn't have obsessions of their own.)

I can't remember, I was bored into sleep.
