Let's see. Sue's publisher is soon going to send her a new contract. And she should be getting some royalties in April. Which is good because our old dishwasher kicked the bucket yesterday and I'm back to doing the dishes the old-fashioned way. (Did I mention what an enlightened modern man I am?)

Dishwashers, bleah

Ours quit a while back (with a full load ready to go, natch). Turned out the circuit board behind the touchpad needed to be cleaned. Microcircuitry is a mixed blessing.

It's a good thing to share the load. BTW, what's the title of her last book?

Have you got any recommendations for or against certain models?

Its title is Lord of the Beasts. You can get more details about it and Sue's other books at www.susankrinard.com, but fon't feel obligated to go look.

We opted for a Kenmore (the Sears brand) mostly because it did what we wanted, didn't overload us with extra bells and whistles (you can't avoid some, seemingly), matched up colorwise with the other major appliances in the kitchen, and not least promised quick service when required since there's a Sears in the mall at the bottom of our hill.

Sears promises to service virtually all major brands, it turns out, so I'm not sure the manufacturer makes much difference. Get the features you want and go for it. We bought at a Sears Outlet place, which got us about 40% off; that's a big deal if you can find it.

Which Kenmore model? And how long have you had it?

Sorry for the delay. Football and then work intervened.

It's model number 665.17359301, type 575-0. It's got a light cycle, a normal cycle, a pots/pans cycle and a rinse/hold cycle.

Thanks. Not too many bells and whistles, which is the way I like things to be with kitchen appliances.
