screwing up for 3 hours

News of the week... I got a Service Award in the interoffice mail, along with a gift card, due to a recommendation from one of our users. Yesterday, the manager of a group I'd helped wrote to me "You're the best." Last night, I spent more than 3 hours putting a desk together for my wife, and it involved more turning of the screw than the Henry James novel did. Finally, my wife, who recently got a contract for a contemporary fantasy trilogy for Tor, also received an offer or a 3-book contract with Harlequin.

Thanks. As for my wife's writing, the story that gave birth to her fantasy trilogy will be in anthology to be published soon - in July, I think.

Fortunately, no, the deadlines won't compete. Besides, the Harlequin books will be shorter. Still, she's going to be busy, which is a good thing because you know what 'they' say about idle hands.
