It's not every day that, because I expressed a sentiment not dissimilar to Oliver Wendell Holmes's comment that taxes are the cost one must pay to maintain civilization (or words to that effect), I (and presumably Ollie) find myself called a Marxist by a flat-taxer. And he didn't mean Zeppo, Harpo, Chico or Groucho.
