after the gnats and the burnt toast

First thing this morning, I watered the whole backyard's plants in spite of the pesky gnats. I then had a breakfast of peanut butter on burnt toast, after which I re-rehearsed my talk about "Steampunk and Hollywood". I managed not to trip over myself as much, and I need to slow down some more. I'm optimistic though. Even if people ask questions throughout the talk, it'll end within the allocated period. I may even have time for a couple of short films. As for my hesitations and clumsy delivery... I still have time to rehearse. Also, my panel will be opposite a talk by Connie Willis next door The few people who'll show up for my thing won't be there with the intention of grading me. I hope not.
