We were talking-about the space between us all
And the people-who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth-then it's far too late-when they pass away.
We were talking-about the love we all could share-when we find it
To try our best to hold it there-with our love
With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.
Try to realise it's all within yourself
No-one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small,
And life flows within you and without you.
We were talking-about the love that's gone so cold and the people,
Who gain the world and lose their soul-
They don't know-they can't see-are you one of them?
When you've seen beyond yourself-then you may find, peace of mind,
Is waiting there-
And the time will come when you see
We're all one, and life flows on within you and without you.

So said the late George Harrison, aka the Quiet Beatle, in Within you, without you. You can see and hear him sing it here:

You're welcome. It probably is one of my favorite songs by the Beatles.

I've always liked Eleanor Rigby and, I blush to say, Yellow Submarine.

Well, it's a kid's song....

Says who? And even if it were a kid's song, what matters is that you like it. So there.

It's a great song! When I was kid, we added in verses of "We all live in a Peanut Butter Sandwich" and whatever else came to mind.

I happen to like Maxwell's Silver Hammer. That's a song to be embarrassed about.

Didn't Sesame Street do its own version of Yellow Submarine back in the early 70s?

As for Maxwell's Silver Hammer, maybe someone posted a rendition of it on YouTube. Heck, they have quite a few things from kid stuff like Schoolhouse Rock.
