sergebroomI wasn't able to work on Sue's new laptop until today, but I successfully re-installed all the softwares she needs, and transfered her writing over to this much faster machine. Sue is VERY happy.
Tomorrow I'll have to take my own laptop to the computer store. It turns out that a laptop's fall from the height of a coffee table not once but twice within one minute isn't conducive to its proper functioning. I don't really think it can be brought back to proper life, but I have this faint hope that some of the data can be rescued. If not, the loss would be mostly sentimental, but Sue has been known to say I'm a sentimental fool.
