the morning's rites

I have fulfilled the work day's initial morning rites: (1) take the elevator to the 7th floor, (2) turn on my laptop and clean up my email's inbound queue, (3a) walk 3 blocks over to Starbuck's for a refill of my mug, and (3b) finding that the ladies who work there now smile when I show up, (4) walk back 3 block, and take the elevator back to the 7th floor, (5) sip my brew.

I guess I have to actually work now.
