"It! The Terror from Beyond Space"

Last night I watched 1958's "It! The Terror from Beyond Space". It starred Marshall Thompson (remember TV series "Daktari"?) as the only survivor of the first expedition to Mars, who's being brought back to Earth for court-martial by the second expedition, which thinks that he killed the rest of the crew. On the way back home, they all find that something hitched a ride and guess what? It's hungry.
The film turned out to be ok, as these low-budget things go. We have people who go inside airducts, looking for missing crewmembers and finding you-know-what. We have aliens that seem impervious to everything, including being irradiated by an atomic reactor, and to the exploration ship's brought-just-in-case bazooka, but expose them to the vacuum of space and voila! By the way, we also have two female crewmembers, but their job mostly is to be nurses and to clean the mess table after the guys are done, and say, do you want another cup of coffee?
