"If you don't know what something does, don't push its buttons."
I heard this new public annoucement for Eureka not long ago today after moving the TV/DVD/VCR/CD combo from the livingroom to the dining nook and reconnecting the TV, the VCR and the DVD player. I was quite bothered because I distinctly remembered having plugged less cables back in than I had unplugged and yet there were no unhooked cables lying around. And everything was working fine. Then I realized I had not hooked up the CD player and that I had distractedly taken its cables into the garage. That works too now. I am so proud of myself. That being said, I wouldn't last 5 minutes in the town of Eureka.
