Over the years, I've read tales of Allen Steele's newly colonized planet Coyote as it asserts its independence from Earth, but I did so only in bits and pieces as I came across them in magazines. I recently decided I should read the whole thing, and in order too, so tonight I finished the 2nd volume, "Coyote Rising". Recommended.
