Turner Classic Movies had a pleasant surprise last night. For what I think is their first time ever, they aired 1996's Emma. Not the TV version with Kate Beckinsale, but the theatrical release with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeremy Northam. It had been a long time since we'd last seen it, and we enjoyed it as much as I originally did although I can't say that the scene where Emma makes an extremely nasty comment to nerdy Miss Bates was a pleasant experience.
That being said, it makes me wish I saw more movies with Northam in them.
