a night at the Heterodyne opera

Today was not the most fulfilling of days at the office, but things have been cleared up now that my co-workers, 1100 miles away, have come back from their afternoon-long lunch. Mind you, my being on call means that I'll be staying up until midnight. I don't mind, as long as I know what I'm supposed to do, a state that was difficult to achieve, what with the supposedly up-to-date documentation not matching what I thought was the new reality of our computer system.

And now some non-corporate Grand Opera.
