Maybe it's because Friday was a long day at the office (and at the corner of home that is my home office), but I can't figure out if there is a way to see how much traffic my blog gets, and where it comes from. Simple curiosity. I went to LiveJournal's FAQ section and found no item about this. Like I said, it's been a long corporate day and I should just forget about it for tonight. Still, if you know, please let me know.

The two I can think of that you should be able to use are

Sitemeter

and Google Analytics.

I know there are some for RSS feed stats, but I'm not having any luck finding them right now.

Have a great weekend, and tell Sue I hope her knee is getting done with healing.

Thanks, Tania. I'll have to look into those. As for Sue's knee, she's having an MRI on Monday. Her doctor feels that she should have recovered completely by now and that maybe part of the procedure did not take. Yes, she may have to go thru a bit more surgery, although it may not be as incapacitating. Let's hope so.

Hope her knee gets better quickly! I don't know how to track traffic - I can sorta track mine with a yahoo feature (they host it). You could have everyone post "ping" for a day and then count the pings ;)

Thanks. I'll tell Sue. As for tracking the traffic, I take it that one has to be with Yahoo to make use of that feature.

Yeah, it's actually just the stats feature on my website, which is on Yahoo. My blog is a subset of the site as a whole...for now, anyway...I'm finding it's a lot easier to blog over here at LJ (partly because I have friends here!) than on my site, which has a crappy interface and bad comment handling.

Yay!

No, I don't think your other site is crappy, but I prefer LiveJournal's handling of comments, which tells me what my friends are writing, and quickly what they're saying back to me.
