"Did it bother you when I stopped going to services with you?"

"Clark, you were fourteen. Old enough to make your own decisions in that regard."

"I know, but... Did I disappoint you -- or offend you?"

"No. Not one bit. Clark, you could never disappoint me --"

"Except for melting that vase from Paris. And crashing thru the weather vane."

"And you would bend all the utensils in the house every time I made liver... Clark, my faith was my own. I brought it into your life so that you could have a foundation for making your own choices... I certainly think you've made good ones..."

(Yes, all of the above are from different things I already posted on my blog, but that doesn't make them less appropriate.)

I like liver. I'm not allowed to have it often any more.

Doctor's orders? I'm glad you're listening to him/her. Your being alive sure beats the alternative.

Speaking of Life and its alternative... Did you notice something familiar about the composition of the photo I posted?

Indeed. I didn't notice it when I watched the movie, but went waitaminnit when I came across the photo.

So is Brian Singer, who directed the 2006 movie, but, hey, one can't avoid knowing Christian imagery when one lives in North-America(*). Besides, that imagery was suggested in the 1978 movie. This movie simply made it more obvious, especially at the end as Kal El is falling back to Earth.

(*) I was amused when I was talking to a co-worker when she said 'Darn!' about some problem we were having with some program testing even though she's Jewish.

You are quite welcome. By the way, I saw on your own blog that you were given some wonderful surprises on Mother's Day.
