rubber technology and science
Jul. 29th, 2008 08:46 amI broke my digital camera a couple of weeks ago. Nothing major to the camera itself, but the tiny plastic pins that keep the battery compartment shut snapped right off. It's kind of anwkward trying to take compromising photos when you have to hold the camera in a death grip without which it powers off. With the worldcon but a few days away, I had pretty much resigned myself to spending at least $300 for a new camera to replace my older bulkier one. Then I thought of something, and I'd like to think that Mr. Scott would approve.
It's amazing what you can do with a couple of rubber bands.
Speaking of which, Eureka's third season begins tonight on the SciFi Channel, serving us more of its wonderful rubber science.
