I watched new TV show Fringe last night. It's ok enough that I'll probably try to follow it. It begins with a plane landing at Logan Airport and everybody inside is dead, their flesh all melted away. No, it wasn't the stale crackers that did it, but everybody is perplexed until FBI agent Olivia Dunham googles for "dissolving flesh" and "hardening flesh" and finds that both strings lead to one article by the same scientist who's been away in Psych Ward for 17 years. Next she has to find who stole the man's work, but unfortunately the only witness is comatose so what's a girl to do? Of course she has to strip down to her black bra and panties before taking a dip in a tank of saline solution so that no sensory distractions will interfere with the gizmo connecting her to the witness. Oh, and Blair Brown is also in the show and she has a bionic arm.

Be warned. I don't expect that the disrobement will be that frequent an occurence. I liked the woman's character, and not just because she looks like a cross between Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton. The young guy who's her investigating partner may grow on me, but he annoys me so far. I am rather amused that the mad scientist is played by John Noble, who also was the deranged Steward of Gondor in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings.
