Inquiring minds(1) elsewhere wanted to know if I had decorated our home as soon as Turkey Day was over. I didn't. I did it two weeks before. I had decided this was the best time because my wife was still in the hospital, recovering from her knee-replacement surgery, and filled with happy juice, so there was no way she could object. Bwahahahah!!!

(1) Yes, I do mean you, Mistress Tania.

Yay! I'm trying to decide if I should decorate or not this year. I might decorate a tree in the yard, and string lights on the porch.

Yes, I'm living vicariously through your decorations. I hope that's not too creepy.

Nothing creeoy about it. By the way, the ornament in the above photo is the Tree's only ornament, aside from the light strands. I also have a strand above the fireplace, and one wrapped around the living-room's fake palm tree. If you look out the kitchen window (which you can't, since you live in the North Pole), you'd see that I wrapped a bunch of strands around the nearby tree's many trunks.

That's quite different from the Christmas Shop display at e.g. Mahoney's....

I bet it is. On the other hand there is beauty in simplicity. Besides, I have a young cat who likes shiny things, and hanging ornaments from the lower branches would be too much of a temptation for her.
