bowling as a personality test
Dec. 20th, 2006 10:49 amWell, our team's Christmas events weren't so bad after all. After lunch at an Indian restaurant, we walked over to San Francisco's Moscone Center for some bowling. I was, to put it mildly, downright terrible at it. Yes, I could blame it on my not having done this since the week before 1969's Moon-landing, or on most of the bowling balls having holes too small for my thumb. The bottom line is that I sucked. It was interesting observing the techniques of my team-mates. One of them, a rather quiet guy, almost danced as he'd prepare to toss the ball toward the pins. One woman who's not very strong, basically walked to the edge of the alley and gently shoved the ball, which putt-putted its slow merry way and eventually reached the pins. And she did better than me.
