mouse in the mouth

Agatha the Cat Genius keeps escaping and she often spends nights outside. She's smart enough to stay around the house and smart enough to put herself out of the reach of coyotes. She's quite the huntress too. Yesterday morning, when I went into the backyard, there was a chewed-up mouse on the patio. Yesterday evening, after a day-time escape, she decided to come in late and rushed to the back door. With a mouse tail sticking out of her mouth. When we approached Agatha, she dropped down the tiny mouse, which turned out to be still alive, and apparently intact. It scampered away as soon as I picked up Agatha. No, the mouse wasn't wearing yellow tights nor did I hear someone singing about being here to save the day.
