time in the Tube
Oct. 5th, 2009 06:45 amI spent last week on a Project from Purgatory. How is that different from a Project from Hell? The latter never ends (or feels like it), while the former will. This one has a drop-dead deadline - October 23, in this case. Strictly speaking, the programming changes had to be completed by this morning. That's why Friday was a 14-hour day, and Saturday was a 15-hour day. Sunday, thankfully, was a mere 5-hour day, after which I emerged from the Jefferies Tube to take care of more pleasant tasks: climbing on the roof to cut off tree branches that were too close and too big, eliminating dust bunnies inside the house, that kind of stuff. Before hopping into the bus this morning, I took some snapshots from one of my DVDs, which I'll add to the steampunk-movie presentation I'm giving at the local SF club on November 13.
Well, it's now time to go back inside the Tube, as I enter this PfP's test phase.
