My wife recently said that my hair was looking like a mad scientist's, but since I don't own a green lab coat, I thought it better to get my mop cropped yesterday. That's when I found that the man who usually does my hair had retired from the Air Force in 2001, after 20 years of working on radar and satellite communications.

Dare I say that he went from air waves to hair waves?

1939's "Goodbye, Mr Chips" is on TCM right now and a scene just ended where Chips reluctantly canes a student for some egregious offense. Rather barbaric, and it reminds me of the many times I got rapped on the knuckles by nuns. At least the derrière has more padding.

It's cold and it's drizzling, but Agatha the Cat Genius insisted upon being allowed outside. My wife tried to convince her otherwise, but I let Agatha out, and checked on the time. I expected her to be back in 30 minutes at most.

It took 5 minutes.

My wife's recovery from her knee-replacement's replacement is proceeding very well. Today, aided by crutches, she walked backwards and sideways. That though appeared to make Freya very nervous, and she's not afraid of Daleks.
