Roads have been slippery so I decided I'd drive my California-spawned wife to the sleep clinic for a new mask's fitting. I had been planning to read while waiting for her. Instead I spent the next two hours exchanging emails with my team lead thru my Blackberry to walk him thru some problem with our computer system since I'm the only person who knew what to do. As a result, the deliverables were late. I pointed out to him that, if our boss had been willing to shell out the money for a wireless modem, I could have logged in with my laptop and fixed everything myself far more quickly.

Yes, I am getting a wireless modem.
