the month's club meeting

Last night's meeting of the SF club went well. I had to step away from the auction's proceedings for almost one hour, due to some problem with work's computer system, but I now have a wireless card so it wasn't necessary to outright leave. After the auction was over, some of us went to the nearby Applebee's. I had a good time, and was quite pleased when Shannon, the club's 15-year-old member I had met only a few times, gave me a hug before she left. I guess I've made a good impression. Before the rest of us left at about 1am, Kathy, Harriet and I shared memories of our youth's cartoons such as the Herculoids and the Mighty Mightor. After the post-meeting meeting was over, I drove to the office to plug my laptop into the network, which was the only way to fix my email access. By 1:30am I was in bed and quickly fell asleep.

Like I was about to say, I've been thinking that I gripe too much about work on my blog. After all, people come here not for that, but for my wit.
("Your what?")
