a cold dish

As you may have noticed, my recents posts have expressed a slight displeasure toward my work environment, and toward the low esteem in which it's being held by my higherups. I had a slight helping of revenge for lunch though, as you can see from the exchange that ensued between yours truly and the Boss.

ME: "One last thing... I sent that email to the downstream groups only after (name of boss's assistant withheld) confirmed during the team meeting that we were on schedule. No mention was made of an issue at that point. I acted according to the information available. I did the right thing."
BOSS: "OK, I agree that you did what you should have with the information you had."

How magnanimous of the Boss.

My team lead came up with a new excuse after I pointed out how today's 'problem' was his fault, not mine. Sure, most of his email was a non-apology invoking communication failures. Nothing new there. He then said that some of those failures came from his being somewhat distracted after he sliced his fingers when he opened a tin can.
