better for their books

("...so you went to a bookstore?")
How did you guess? I went to Barnes & Noble, and I noticed something that gave me great pleasure.

You must be a psychic. While it's true that I got three paperbacks from among all those that implored me to buy them, what especially pleased me is that their F/SF "New" section is back to displaying paperbacks and trade paperbacks, not just hardcovers. I always thought that HQ's earlier decision had been a damned fool thing, and the store's people I talked to shared my opinion. I don't know if HQ changed its mind, or if someone at that specific store took it upon herself to do this. Whoever is responsible, I applaud the decision. I expect that a few authors will too.
