sergebroom: (Captain America)
The Albuquerque Comic Expo's kid costuming contest went well and was emcee'd by Yaya. This being a comics-based con, most of the costumes were comics-inspired. We had one Clark Kent, many Avengers, and quite a bevy of pre-teen Wonder Women. Kristen Dorland, Pat Rogers and I were the judges, and agreed that the best entry was a very young Harley Quinn with a BIG mallet. My many thanks to Jessica Coyle for organizing the whole affair.

Pat and I then attended a panel then did one last tour of the dealer's room, after which we each left for our respective homes. Pat's plans were to crash. Mine were to finish reading one more Hugo novella, which leaves me with one last tale in that category and by the way, why does it have SIX nominees instead of the customary five? No matter what the reason, I must put aside the Hugos. It's now time to read the revised manuscript of Sue's fantasy novel "Mist".
