the first evening by the Bay

My first day at our Bay Area office went fine, with me doing the same things I usually do, but within a few feet of my co-workers instead of 1000 miles away. By 5pm, I took BART then the bus to my friend Yoko's, and from there we drove to a restaurant in Walnut Creek for the 17th-birthday celebration of her friend's daughter. At some point, Yoko and her friend were talking to each other when I noticed what music was playing in the background. So did the young lady, who smiled then went on the silently mouth the lyrics from "Bohemian Rhapsody".

In other words, a good evening.
