oven rarely

Dinner was delayed a bit last night. The human dinner, anyway, because the family's quadrupeds would accept no tardiness in their feeding. When I was done with appeasing the beasts, I went to Sears and acquired a microwave oven to replace the 10-year-old one that had decided to give up the ghost that afternoon. The man who brought the oven to the pickup point was shocked when I said I'd pick it up and take it to the minivan myself. Sure, it was a big box, but not that heavy. Anyway, I quickly set up the new oven and we nuked lasagna. Then I did the dishes.

"So what do you need me to water?"
"Let me wake up first."
"We're talking to each other, that means you're awake."
"I'm not thinking yet."

I guess I'll have my yogurt breakfast until Sue is capable of telling me what I can do for her while she'll be writing her third fantasy novel.
