"Without a Summer"

I just finished reading Mary Robinette Kowal's third Regency fantasy novel, "Without a Summer".

On now to the first installments of her fifth novel in the series, "Of Noble Family"...

We knew it'd happen sooner or later, what with 13-year-old girl Freya's hind legs giving her more and more trouble. When we came back from the gym this morning, neither her front legs nor her hind legs would support her weight so we took her to the vet, where she went to sleep forever.
