Last night was the premiere of TV series Warehouse 13 on the Skiffy Channel(1).

I'm holding off on deciding whether I like it or not until I see a couple of real episodes. Yesterday's 2-hour movie felt padded beyond what the story required. On the other hand, their using a stungun designed by Tesla to knock out a woman possessed by the ghost of Lucrecia Borgia is a mark in their favor. So is the kettle that will grant you a wish unless the wish is impossible, in which case the kettle gives you a ferret.

(1) I know, I know, they have changed their name, but to something I refuse to write down. I much prefer the name I give them.

That looked promising, but I'm waiting for fan* feedback to decide if I want to try it (on the Skiffy website or b(u)y DVDs).

I like the cast anyway. There's CCH Pounder as a woman who's been around for a long time. Saul Rubinek as the warehouse's caretaker. I even like the two main characters. Like I said before, it's the stories I'm not sure about.

Have you seen the Librarian movies with the guy from ER? They're mean to be spoofs of adventure item movies and they're very funny. Well, I thought Warehouse 13 was like a really bad spoof.

I saw parts of the Librarian movies, and the similarities did occur to me, with the finale of Raiders of the Lost Ark tossed in.
