zombies and best lines

Last night, at the local SF club's meeting, we watched 1941's King of the Zombies. It was terrible, which was expected, but what wasn't is that black actor Mantan Moreland had all the good lines. Upon hearing some voodoo ceremony's drums in the distance, someone asks what that is, to which Moreland responds:

"I dunno, but it ain't Gene Krupa."

"What now?"

"Bass solo!"

There was an interesting scene when the evil doctor takes the 2 white guys to a nice comfy room to spend the night. Moreland then asks where HE's going to sleep and of course he's sent down to the basement. What's interesting is that he had not made that assumption.
