If you know about illustrations of Martian Tripods that are now in the public domain, would you mind passing on a link to me? I've been thinking about getting business cards made for my own personal use, and their sporting a Tripod would be neat. The illustration would have to be reproducible at about the size of this post's LJ icon.

I first discovered the musical when it first was released on vynil, the year after my graduation from college. (That sentence really dates me, doesn't it?) I enjoyed it immensely so, when I discovered that it had finally made it to the stage, I bought the DVD some time ago. I am planning to watch it very soon.

I remember my grandad telling me he loved that record when he was a teenager ;)

Well, okay, that was me.

I didn't know they'd put the musical on DVD. I'll have to look that up :)

Here's their site:

As for the DVD, it's available only for European-region players. That didn't stop me. I have the VLC software on my laptop, and it doesn't care about regions.
