We arrived safe and sound at my parents-in-law a few hours ago. No snow. No incident although yesterday was an exhausting drive that left me with a splitting headache even after my wife had taken over for a couple of hours.

That'll teach me to sleep less than 4 hours before a long drive.
Idiot.

There were times when I thought I might though. It makes one feel tense while driving. No wonder I had a headache by the end of the day.

Thanks. We spent the night in Bakersfield at the end of the first day, as planned, then we stopped at I-5's Harris Ranch for breakfast next morning, as is our tradition. The difference this time is that we spent 3 hours there with Rick Horowitz and his wife. It was time well spent.
