We got home yesterday by supper time. The trip was uneventful. No snow, for one thing, not even in the Mojave Desert. The trip's first leg, down California's I-5, took longer than expected. It was more like what I expect on the day after Christmas even though we left on the day after the day after. Ah well... We made it home.

I'm picturing somebody thinking "I'll go a day later, and avoid the rush" - not realising how many other people are thinking exactly the same thing...

And then that person thinks "Hahahah!!! In that case, I will live the day right after Christmas!" Itt then turns out that everybody else had the same clever idea.
