Yesterday, I found out from Jon Gibbs that, barely one month ago, LiveJournal had set up a way for us to find how many visitors we get every day, with distinct numbers for all visitors and for LJ users.

All you have to do is go to your Home page. From there, click on the Journal pulldown menu, at the bottom of which is item My Stats.

It's for paid subscribers only, I think.

I'm paid, and I'm not finding it either. Although that's par for the course.

Hmmm... That's strange. I'll ask around. I find it hard to believe I'd be getting some goodies and others wouldn't. It's usually the other way around. :-)

I'm paid, too.

It's in the left-hand column under the Journal header.

There's no Journal header in the left-hand column on my Home page or on my portal/MyLJ.

Wow, there's a lot more people looking at mine than I anticipated. Go to http://www.livejournal.com/portal and you should have your header at the top. Click on Journal and then on My Stats.

Still not seeing it. What do you mean "my header"? If I click on Journal, it just takes me to my entries.

Okay, I still don't see the link for it, but if you go to www.livejournal.com/statistics while you're logged in, it gives your information.

Well, every time I'm reading a message or getting ready to put up an initial post, I have a header at the top of the page. It has my default picture, a Log Out button, and a set of choices, including Journal.

Maybe you have to set it to have a header up. What do you see when you go to http://www.livejournal.com/portal?

I have it set to give me a header across the top of my (or anyone else's) journal, with my default picture, my name, and a bunch of choices which do not include Journal. On the portal and on comment pages, I get the default header, which does have a Journal, but none of the choices under it include My Stats (or Statistics, or any other variant).

Oh, wait. Are you getting a drop-down menu under Journal? I remember a while back they wanted to switch me to a new style of header, with drop-down menus that didn't have everything I was used to using. So I made them switch me back to the old-style header. I bet that's the problem.

Was that it? If not, I'll just post about it on Making Light.

I don't know; I only have the old-style header. But from the descriptions here, I think so.

Oh, yes, I have drop-down menus and that probably does make the difference.
